We managed to ask Lee a few questions about his life and career
1. As part of the Superstar Speakers Manchester United Legends tour, who is your Man Utd legend and why
" My hero, or the best player played with, would be Bryan Robson for Manchester United because he was such a good leader who looked after us all. But actually ... I am an Aston Villa fan so my heroes as a kid were Gary Shaw and Tony Morley from the 1980/1981 European Cup Winning Team"
(Note: Villa won the cup in 1982)
2. What do you think to the current Manchester United team
"... Defiantly going through a transitional period, but they are showing signs of brilliance in certain games"
3. What did it mean to wear the Man Utd number 7 shirt?
"During the 1990/1991 season I was fortunate enough to wear the number 7 shirt, and I have to say it was by default! I actually scored goals in it, I played well in it. But the manager wouldn't give it to me, he gave me number 5... but i actually fell in love with number 5"
4. What is the proudest moment of your career?
" Its difficult to pick one really... signing for Man Utd...making my England debut at 19... winning the first Premier League win Man Utd...scoring a hat trick at Highbury, winning the Cup Winners Cup in Rotterdam against Barcelona...PFA Young Player of the Year (1991).
But if I had to pick a special moment I would probably say the backheel I scored against Barcelona at Old Trafford
5. What was better the Sharpie Shuffle or the Elvis Celebration?
"What it was, it upset the manager everytime I did it, so everytime I scored I did it, just to p*** the manager off!"
