THE LEGENDS who have appeared on the Manchester United Legends tour so far...
1. Arthur Albiston
Manchester United 1974 - 1988.
With 485 appearances he is the 11th on the list of all-time appearance for the Red Devils. Winner of the second division in 1975, the FA Cup 1977, 1983 and 1985
2. Clayton Blackmore
Manchester United 1982 - 1994.
Welsh versatility player who played in every number (2-11) for Man Utd. With 245 appearances and a Premier League Title in 1993, FA Cup in 1990 and the European Cup Winners Cup in 1991
3. Wes Brown
Manchester United 1997 - 2011.
One of the few players to win the Champion's League in 1999 and 2008. In addition he also won 5 Premier League Titles and 2 FA Cups
Sir Alex Ferguson said 'without question the best natural defender this club has had for years'
4. Andy Cole.
Manchester United 1994 - 2002.
Cole is the 3rd highest goal scorer in Premier League history with a total of 187. Scoring 122 for Man Utd. Part of the historic treble winning season in 1999, Cole also won the Premier League in 1996, 1997, 2000 and 2001 and the FA Cup in 1996.
5. Mark Hughes
Manchester United 1980 - 1986 / 1988 - 1995
The very definition of a big game player. Sparky was a vital part of the early success of Sir Alex Ferguson's reign at Manchester United. A classic British striker with the ability to score world class goals from minimal opportunity and possibly the greatest to ever volley a ball in football history
6. Denis Irwin
Manchester United 1990 - 2002
The best right back and left back in the League and the joint most successful Irish footballer in history with 19 career trophies (Record shared with Roy Keane). Irwin has the 9th overall most appearances for the club with 529. Seven Premier League Titles, 3 FA Cups and 1 Champions League Trophy
7. Lou Macari
Manchester United 1972 - 1984
404 appearances with 97 goals Macari is fondly remembered as part of the Manchester United team who won promotion back into the first division in 1975 and then the FA Cup in 1977
8. Lee Martin
Manchester United 1988 - 1994
One of the heroes of the early days of Sir Alex Ferguson's reign at Old Trafford, mainly based his FA Cup winning goal in the 1990 Cup Final, the first trophy in Fergie's United career and some claim even saved his job! (which is unthinkable in hindsight!)
A product of the Cliff and the youth team before becoming a first team regular and member of the 1991 Cup Winners Cup squad
Manchester United 1994 - 2003
One of the cult heroes at Manchester United and popular host of MUTV. David May was a key part of the treble winning season despite not picking up a Premier League Winners medal that year.
May is one of the funniest men on the tour and has fantastic behind the scenes stories from the Class of 92 and the iconic season of 1999
10. Brian McClair
Manchester United 1987 - 1998
Choccy is 13th on the list of all time appearances with 471 and 127 goals to his name McClair was a prolific goal scorer in the 80s and 90s. Winning 4 Premier League titles, 2 FA Cups and the European Cup Winners Cup in 1991
11. Sammy McIlroy
Manchester United 1971 - 1982
One of the many Northern Ireland legends to have graced the pitch at Old Trafford, Sammy McIlroy is an FA Cup winner from 1977 and Second Division winner in 1975 with the Red Devils.
A man who played with the legend of George Best, Sammy is always a great personality at any event
12. Gary Pallister
Manchester United 1989 - 1998
437 appearances for the club and 15 goals. Pally won 4 Premier Leagues, 3 FA Cups and the European Cup Winners Cup in 1991. A vital defender under the early days of Sir Alex having won a medal for every trophy Sir Alex had won up to his departure in 1998
Manchester United 1981 - 1994
Voted Manchester United's greatest ever player, Robson captained club and Country earning him the nickname 'Captain Fantastic'
461 appearance and 91 goals, Robbo won 2 Premier Leagues, 3 FA Cups and the European Cup Winners Cup
14. Lee Sharpe
Manchester United 1988 - 1996
The king of the goal scoring celebration, becoming iconic with the Sharpie Shuffle and the Elvis celebration. Lee Sharpe was PFA young player of the year 1991 and was one of the players to usher in the Premier League Era. 3 Premier League titles, 2 FA Cups and The European Cup Winners Cup
15. Jaap Stam
Manchester United 1998 - 2001
The big Dutch centre-back spent three years at Old Trafford and won the Premier League in every single one of those seasons! He was also part of the legendary 1999 treble winning team. Letting him leave United is still considered a rare mistake from Sir Alex Ferguson
16. Frank Stapleton
Manchester United 1981 - 1987
3 time FA Cup winner (2 with Man Utd and 1 with Arsenal) Stapleton is one of the great Irish footballers to have played for Manchester United with 288 appearances and 78 goals as well as 71 caps for the Republic of Ireland including captaincy for his national team.
Manchester United 1966 - 1978
The Goalkeeper of the European Cup winning team of 1968. Also the winner of the 1967 first division and 1977 FA Cup.
Stepney has 2 goals to his name making him Man Utds top scoring goal keeper!
