Case was an old school British footballer, he played a very physical game. Jimmy Case was beloved on Merseyside because of his willingness to commit his body to the cause of Liverpool FC. He tackled hard, played hard and was reknowned for having one of the hardest and fastest shots in the game.
It was these hard shots that lead to Jimmy Case scoring incredible goals and volleys from long distances across the pitch
Case loves football and had a playing career that lasted 23 years - he finally announced his retirement in 1995 at Brighton at the age of 41
Jimmy said about himself
"We played with supreme confidence because we knew how good the fella was next to us. I always considered myself - I know I get told different from time to time - as a bread and butter player. A fetcher and carrier to fill in the spaces on the right-hand side and work hard. Then you had the flair players like Kenny Dalglish and Terry McDermott, but they couldn't play without us anyway."
