English cricket legend Alastair Cook has today announced his retirement from professional cricket. He made 161 Test appearances for England as well as becoming the ALL TIME highest test scorer with 12,472 runs. He is without doubt one of the greatest sportsmen this country has ever produced! Superstar Speakers Complete a Private Autograph Session with England Legend Sir Geoff Hurst. We are pleased to confirm that we recently completed another signing session with former West Ham United Legend and England's 1966 Hat Trick Hero Sir Geoff Hurst. The signing took place at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nottingham and it was a real pleasure to once again be able to spend some quality time with Sir Geoff Hurst as well as sign some items such as England Football Shirts, Football Boots, Footballs and Photos from his illustrious Career. Sir Geoff Hurst is without doubt one of the best football legends to work with and has a great sense of humour too and some of the staff who present at the signing and event can vouch for. Alway very humble, he was able to share with us some of his stories from his life which we felt very honoured to hear. A Striker, , he became the first man to score a hatrick in a World Cup final and be on the winning team, when England recorded a well remembered win over West germany at Wembley in 1966. He started off his career with West Ham United where he scored 242 goals in 500 first team appearances. There he won the FA Cup and the European Cup Winners Cup, He was later sold to Stoke City in 1972 for £80,000. After three seasons with Stoke, ,] he finished his Football League career with West Bromwich Albion in 1976. In total, Hurst scored 24 goals in 49 England appearances. Sir Geoff wasn't just a talented footballer though as he had all the right attributes to be a top cricketer and in his early days he did make 1 first class appearances from Essex before deciding he would concentrate on a footballing career and what a career it was. The Manchester United legends tour is coming back to Belfast this June with what promises to be fantastic line up of legends Already confirmed is Lee Sharpe, Andy Cole and Paul Parker with more names to be announced over the next couple of months Tickets for the event will go on sale next week via the ICC Waterfront venue box office Fans who purchase the Platinum package will be able to get an autograph from each of the legends in attendance. The event will be hosted by the Voice Of Old Trafford Alan Keegan so expect a grand entrance for each of the legends. The event will take place on the 21st June 2023.
