  • Nottingham Forest Exclusive Signing Session with the European Cup Winning legends of 1979 and 1980

Superstar Speakers are based in Nottinghamshire and the legacy of Brian Clough's teams at Nottingham Forest is alive and well in the county. ***Check out our upcoming Nottingham Forest Events*** For one of our exclusive signing sessions we reunited 13 of the players from that historic era for Forest and held a very private and exclusive signing session where the players signed the iconic red Nottingham Forest shirts from the 1979 Final and some A1 sized montage posters (which are the largest pictures we have ever done!) 2020 is the 40th anniversary of the second European Cup win, and the veterans of Forest gathered in a secret location in the heart of Nottingham City for a signing session that turned into a reunion, as the players who hadn't seen each other in over a year, rolled back the years and laughed and joked about their playing days This memorabilia is highly limited and isn't available yet - as plans are in place for more legends of 79 / 80 to add their signature to the shirts and posters INTRODUCING THE 16th MAN TO SIGN THE NOTTINGHAM FOREST MEMORABILIA TREVOR FRANCIS The million pound man Trevor Francis added his name to the Nottingham Forest Memorabilia. Francis is iconic at Forest for being the first British footballer to cost £1 million and then the man who scored the goal that won the 1979 European Cup. INTRODUCING THE 15th MAN TO SIGN THE NOTTINGHAM FOREST MEMORABILIA IAN BOWYER One of Forest's loyal players during the golden years of Brian CLough. Bowyer had two spells at the City Ground (73 - 81 and 82 - 87). In that time the midfielder was part of the squads that won the 1977-78 League and EFL Cup then went on to win back-to-back European trophies in 1979 and 1980. With a total of 12 trophies over a career spanning 1968 to 1991 we are pleased to add Ian Bowyer to our huge NFFC signing INTRODUCING THE 14th MAN TO SIGN THE NOTTINGHAM FOREST MEMORABILIA PETER SHILTON Nottingham Forest and England's Number 1 adds his name to our exclusive Nottingham Forest European Cup Memorabilia. Shilts is the most capped England player of all time with 125 caps for his country and was between the sticks for both the 1979 and 1980 European Cup finals for Nottingham Forest - We are proud to announced the legendary Keeper as the 14th man on our Forest European Cup collection An introduction to the Nottingham Forest Legends involved in our signing John Robertson John Robertson was part of both the 1979 and 1980 European Cup winning teams and is still consistently voted Forest's Greatest Ever Player (ahead of Stuart Pearce, Des Walker, Stan Collymore and Mark Crossley) Robbo was secured his place in Forest history by crossing the ball to Trevor Francis for the winning goal in the 1979 European Cup Final against Malmo FF 2. Viv Anderson Nottinghamshire born and bred, Anderson was part of both the 1979 and 1980 European Cup Winners. Viv Anderson's career took him from Forest to Arsenal, Manchester United and Sheffield Wednesday, then famously became England's first ever Black footballer in a full international match. Voted Forest's greatest ever right back. 3. Archie Gemmill Gemmill was a key part of getting Nottingham Forest to the Final in 1979 even though he wasn't actually picked for the final - and had left Forest to join Birmingham City in time for the 1980 Cup Run. Archie Gemmill is a key part of the success of Brian Clough's era at Nottingham Forest. Scotland fans will always remember the Archie Gemmill goal 1978 where he scored against the Netherlands in one of the best World Cup Goals ever 4. Frank Clark Clark signed for Forest from Newcastle in 1975 and is a great example of Brian Clough's keen eye for a player - as many considered Clark to be past it at 31. Clark went on to win the European Cup in 1979 in what turned out to be his last professional game as a player. Clark returned as manager of Forest between 1993 and 1996 and then later as chairman in 2011. A true legend at Forest and we are delighted to add him to the signing session 5. Bryn Gunn Gunn played 6 minutes in the 1980 final which earned him a European Cup medal and place in Nottingham Forest History. These 6 minutes promoted Peter Taylor to say to Cloughie 'We're in the s**t now!' 6. Larry Lloyd Larry Lloyd is one of the all time greats - winning of the League and UEFA cup with Liverpool in 1973 before signing for Forest in 1976 and going on to be part of both the 1979 and 1980 European Cup winning teams. Ex- Torquay, Leeds United, Manchester United and England Football star was is charismatic best, entertaining the Stags fans in the 1861 suite. We managed to ask Lee a few questions about his life and career We managed to ask Lee a few questions about his life and career 1. As part of the Superstar Speakers Manchester United Legends tour, who is your Man Utd legend and why " My hero, or the best player played with, would be Bryan Robson for Manchester United because he was such a good leader who looked after us all. But actually ... I am an Aston Villa fan so my heroes as a kid were Gary Shaw and Tony Morley from the 1980/1981 European Cup Winning Team" (Note: Villa won the cup in 1982) 2. What do you think to the current Manchester United team "... Defiantly going through a transitional period, but they are showing signs of brilliance in certain games" 3. What did it mean to wear the Man Utd number 7 shirt? "During the 1990/1991 season I was fortunate enough to wear the number 7 shirt, and I have to say it was by default! I actually scored goals in it, I played well in it. But the manager wouldn't give it to me, he gave me number 5... but i actually fell in love with number 5" 4. What is the proudest moment of your career? " Its difficult to pick one really... signing for Man Utd...making my England debut at 19... winning the first Premier League win Man Utd...scoring a hat trick at Highbury, winning the Cup Winners Cup in Rotterdam against Barcelona...PFA Young Player of the Year (1991). But if I had to pick a special moment I would probably say the backheel I scored against Barcelona at Old Trafford 5. What was better the Sharpie Shuffle or the Elvis Celebration? "What it was, it upset the manager everytime I did it, so everytime I scored I did it, just to p*** the manager off!" • Stan 'The Man' Signs for Superstar Speakers'

22nd January 2021 - Stan Collymore celebrated his 50th birthday and looked back on his career. In those 50 years Stan the man filled his days with success, controversy, highs and lows (even an appearance in the movie Basic Instinct 2). One of the most exciting natural talents to emerge, Stan is still beloved by the fans at his beloved Southend United and Nottingham Forest. In 1995 Stan Collymore became Britain's most expensive footballer when he signed for Liverpool FC for a transfer record of £8.5 million - where he became one of the original Spice Boys in the infamous white suits at the FA Cup final and scored the winning goal in the greatest Premier League game of all time Liverpool vs Newcastle 4-3 After his footballing career Stan transitioned into a sports broadcaster on national radio - where his natural personality, confidence and willingness to embrace controversy and speak his mind found a natural forum Never one to hide away, Stan Collymore was one of the first public male figures to open up about the dangers and seriousness of mental health issues in men - when it was a taboo subject. There have been highs and lows, battles, fights and success - and as Stan Collymore turns 50, he has chosen Superstar Speakers as the platform to open up and tell his story to the fans across the country in a series of nationwide events Stan said he was pleased to take football punditry to a different level by allowing fans to communicate with him in real time through Twitter before, during and after matches and he has similar ground - breaking ideas about his public appearances with Superstar Speakers. He envisages being part of a varied and exciting audio-visual presentation to give a closer insight into his career and life than ‘reeling off a dozen fisherman’s tales’ – plus providing a much- needed post-Covid bonanza for venues from sports bars to four- figure capacity theatres. “I’ve seen the way that after dinning speaking has gone into theatres, its now gone into full productions, its going into audio visuals, so you can narrate properly, and that’s something I want to do. “If we can get interesting names that I can introduce and drag their stories out of them and my own, that will be wonderful once we get people back into theatres and venues - Post-Covid the appetite will be there to view football content in a completely different way.” He is also impressed with the names Superstar Speakers have already worked with including Tyson Fury, Andy Cole and Trevor Francis. “The level of names is top quality. If you’ve seen Andy Cole do it, then that’s good enough for me.” Check out Stan Collymore talking about his tour on our YouTube Channel here We recently invited Stan to take part in a Nottingham Forest Legends evening - alongside Viv Anderson, Tony Woodcock, Des Walker and Steve Hodge - and as you can see in this video he delighted the Forest fans with his trademark honesty and charisma However Stan is promising something extra special for hos solo dates - a full, open and honest discussion of his entire career - warts and all In addition to the personal appearances and live events - Stan Collymore chose Superstar Speaker to launch the 'Stan Collymore Memorabilia Collection' - with the understanding that fans of his from Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Leicester might want to add a signed Stan Collymore item to add to their collections, even admitting that he is partial to memorabilia himself Stan said: “When the guys from Superstar Speakers contacted me, we chatted through a few ideas including memorabilia. The memorabilia industry is huge now and there is also a lot of fake gear out there. I remember going to New York in 1993-94 and getting baseball memorabilia – New York Yankees baseball bat and balls – and a Muhammad Ali signed glove and the reason I bought that memorabilia and felt comfortable with it was it was authentic ‘in the presence of’ – someone could take a photo of you signing something.” Hear Stan talking about the Stan Collymore Collection here You can browse the Stan Collymore Memorabilia collection here - just click the image of Stan! • Bryan Robson. Captain Marvel

There is something special about Bryan Robson. A man who is synonymous with Manchester United and everything it represents. A legend of Old Trafford who stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the all-time greats who have played for Man United **** Bryan Robson is EXCLUSIVE to Superstar Speakers - Read all about it here **** Robson is a classic English Footballer. Solid, passionate and not frightened of ‘getting stuck in’ to a challenge to ensure his team won. The classic Manchester United attitude that has been seen in captains such as Roy Keane and Gary Neville since Robbo retired the armband. Bryan Robson is a leader of men, a midfield general that inspired his troops to go to war every time they crossed the white line of the pitch and represented Manchester United. He gave his all, every time and inspired his team to do the same. Nothing less than 100% - 100% of the time. We spoke to a number of legends about the iconic Captain and this is what they had to say about the man. Bryan Robson on his memories of the 1991 Cup Winners Cup The Ultimate Player – Lee Sharpe Lee Sharpe was just a Teenager when he played under Bryan Robson at Manchester United and has high praise for the role that Robbo played in his early career, calling him a ‘father figure…who looked after all of us on and off the pitch’ Sharpe puts it perfectly when explaining why he chose Robson to captain his all-time Man Utd XI when he said ‘he was the catalyst of what United have become…He encapsulates what United are about’ My Absolute Hero – Ben Thornley Ben Thornley is one of the great ‘What-ifs’ in both Manchester United and English football history. Acknowledged as the best player from the class of 92 his career was cut short by a horrific injury that robbed Man United and England of a brilliant talent. Growing up at Manchester United and the Cliff, Ben remembers the impact Bryan Robson had on his young career ‘He was the one that got me interested in football’ said Ben ‘He would just roll his sleeves up and was almost a one-man team…It was a privilege to play in the same team as him’ In Ben’s first week at Manchester United he bumped into his ‘Absolute hero’ Bryan Robson and ended up breaking in a brand-new pair of boots for him – being a respectful young player he returned them to the Captain, polished and in great condition only for Robbo to ask the young man’s opinion on the boots. Ben told Bryan that he liked them and being the Captain of the club and appreciating that the club was more than just the first team, Robson let Ben keep the boots – Which Thornley still keeps as one of his prized possessions Everyone of us looked up to Bryan Robson – Keith Gillespie Another player who started his early playing days at the Cliff with the Manchester United Youth team is Keith Gillespie, who again spoke of nothing but respect and admiration for the iconic captain. ‘Certainly, for myself growing up as a Man Utd fan he was my hero’ said Keith. Gillespie told us about the times when Robson was coming back from injury and would play alongside the youth team ‘If somebody should have left one on you, from the other team – he would always be there to give them one back!’ Everyone has heard the stories of, or been lucky enough to have seen, Bryan Robson not allowing his teammates to take any abuse from the opposition and the fact he was always first in line to defend them on the pitch for the first team – but it is telling the mark of the man that this attitude continued for every Manchester United player – regardless of whether they were first team or youth team The best leader anybody could ever play under – Lee Martin Lee Martin is a Manchester United legend, the man who scored the winning goal in the 1991 FA Cup final replay and helped secure Sir Alex Ferguson’s first trophy with Man United, He is another product of the youth system and played first team football under Bryan Robson ‘I Remember going away with England a few times, we were with the Under 21s, but we traveled with the first team…I Remember Tony Adams coming down the plane and saying all the lads ‘We are all going to put 100 pounds in for the air Stewardesses, we were only on about 25 quid a week, 100 pounds for us to put in would have been ridiculous, any way Bryan came out and said ‘don’t worry lads, I’ve sorted all your money out with Tony, so that’s all sorted…that would of bankrupted me for a month!’ Its stories like this, from the men who played and worked with Robson that prove what a great captain he was for both club and country He was the best player in training, the best player on the pitch – Andy Campbell A huge part of the legacy of Bryan Robson is his time as player-manager of Middlesbrough. It was a time when Boro started bringing in World Class legends to Riverside and delighted the Premier League and the Boro fans with his star-studded line up. Andy Campbell was one of the Middlesbrough players at the club when Robbo took over and remembers the excitement of Captain Marvel to his boyhood club ‘If it wasn’t for those signings, backroom, players the manager bringing in, himself…the football club wouldn’t be where it is now, and fans don’t forget, the history will never be forgotten, for me that’s the time when the football club evolved and changed as a top club because if we didn’t have Bryan Robson come in, Didn’t get promoted, we wouldn’t have the new stadium as strong as it was, as full as it was and exciting as it was – the town was going places and its all down to the appointment of Bryan Robson" Superstar Speakers are delighted to continue to work with the Manchester United legend Bryan Robson as his exclusive signing partner and welcome him on our Manchester United legends tours Don't forget to keep up with our latest news and offers by subscribing to our mailing list at the Bottom of the page Get social by following us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook

There are a lot of questions we could of asked about George, but we went with 'did you ever have a beer with George Best' - Sammy didn't disappoint! Brian McClair on winding up Sir Alex When Manchester United signed Andy Cole, Sir Alex Ferguson decided he would make him the number 9 in the team, but he first had to phone the current owner of that shirt, Brian McClair. Choccy being Choccy took the opportunity to wind up the boss! Lee Sharpe gets the Hairdryer The Alex Ferguson hairdryer is a legendary myth in football - it was his method of telling off his players, by just shouting at them! • Crossley on 'Master of Psychology' Brian Clough

FORMER Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Mark Crossley has told Superstar Speakers of the amazing psychology of legendary manager Brian Clough. Crossley, who made more than 300 appearances between the sticks for The Reds between 1989 and 2000, revealed how Cloughie eased his nerves before his First Division debut – and helped keep his feet firmly on the ground a few weeks later. Crossley was a 19-year-old rookie when Forest suffered a goalkeeping crisis before an important City Ground clash with mighty Liverpool. Regular guardian Steve Sutton was struck by a virus, Hans Segers was on loan at Wimbledon and the two other goalkeepers were injured but Crossley was almost the last to know he was playing that night. “I found out when he called me out of the boot room at 7pm, just 45 minutes before kick off,” said Crossley. “He told me ‘bring you boots, and it would help if you brought your gloves with you as well – you’re playing". “He probably thought I’d shit myself if I knew I was facing up to Kenny Dalglish, Peter Beardsley and John Barnes.” Forest triumphed 2-1 that night with Crossley, with a little help from the ever-unpredictable manager, going home with the match ball signed by both sets of players. But just when he thought he’d cracked it after keeping goal in three successive wins, Crossley was brought back down to earth by Clough in his own unique style. “I was just about to go home on the Saturday night when Clough told me to report to his house the following morning...When I got there, he told me “thank you for agreeing to play for Simon’s team today. They haven’t got a goalie – and you’ll do!” Crossley then played for Derby Sunday League Division Five side run by Clough’s son Simon, with the team subsequently being fined £50 for playing a ringer. “Cloughie took it out of my wages,” adds Crossley who describes the late former Forest manager as a ‘master of psychology’. • There's Only One Captain Morgan

WES MORGAN LIVE AT THE KING POWER STADIUM 2021 TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE Every football fan in the country remembers the fearless foxes of 2016. The incredible story of Leicester City defying the odds and winning the Premier League. It was a moment like no other as the Foxes brought exciting football back to the top division of English football and dominated the entire year picking up win after win and not letting the momentum fade. It was a modern day football success story that many believed was impossible in the modern era – Leicester had only just been promoted into the top flight after winning the championship in 2014, for a team to not only survive, but to go on and win the league was thought to be a thing of the past – but Leicester proved themselves and gave the world the greatest sporting story of the 21st century. CHECK OUT OUR EXCLUSIVE CAPTAIN WES MORGAN SIGNED MEMORABILIA COLLECTION HERE - EVERY ITEM HAS BEEN HAND SIGNED BY THE LEICESTER CITY LEGEND AND IS COMPLETE WITH AN AFTAL COA The season before was Leicester's first back in the Premier league after promotion and Leicester City struggled at first in the Premier League, the team was built on Championship experience and they found themselves in a relegation battle during the year. This was where the ‘Fearless Foxes’ began. The boys dug deep – the Championship is a hard league and the teams there are used to high competition, the pressure of play-offs and how a loss of a couple of points means a slide down the league. The team spirit started and Leicester battled their way out of trouble. At the start of the 2015/16 season the team were tipped for relegation once again, no one believed that they would continue the energy and the fight in the new year – and the odds of 5000 -1 to win the league were deemed ridiculous for all but the most die-hard Leicester fans Their incredible team spirit, respect within the club from top to bottom and never say die attitude – Leicester City won the league, the nations hearts and the nickname ‘The Fearless Foxes’ Throughout this legendary season, one man helped steady the ship and guide Leicester to Premier League glory. Whilst a lot of the headlines went to Jamie Vardy’s record breaking goal tally, the guidance and experience of Claudio Ranieri and the emergence of Kasper Schmeichel as one of the finest goalkeepers in the country, a lot of the plaudits and respect has to go to the man who captained the team throughout the campaign, a man who became only the third outfield player to play every minute of a title winning season. The Major Oak himself Wes Morgan The Captain of a football team is the representation of the ethos and spirit of the club. A man who represents the team, motivates them, congratulates them and drives them towards glory. Wes Morgan was a stalwart throughout the 2016 Season – leading his team to glory from the heart of the defence, continuing to push Leicester City forward to the dazzling heights of the Premier League, coming up against the world class ‘big teams’ of England and the greatest players in the world. Which is all the more impressive when up until 2 years before he had been solely playing the championship. Wes Morgan as Captain never let the belief die, always took care of the team, respected the club and the fans and never took the limelight from the rest of the squad. Claudio Ranieri said about him ”He is a big gentle bear who looks after all the lads. He does not speak so much but when he does speak, everybody listens. He is the perfect captain. I never knew anything about him before I came here. But I watched all the matches, I watched how solid, strong and intelligent he was” It was this season that lead Wes Morgan to one of the nations favourite athlete sponsorship deals. The Captain Morgan rum deal. In which 11 thousand bottles of Captain Morgan’s rum were designed with Wes Morgan in the Leicester blue coloured pirate suit. The terms and conditions of this deal required Wes to be able to buy everyone in a bar a rum and coke, hold his arms into the shape of a Y and shout ‘there’s only one Captain Morgan’ and he was legally obliged to dress as pirate captain Wes at any fancy dress party he attended or when the opportunity arose Wes Tweeted "I'm delighted to be a brand ambassador for Captain Morgan. I think this just might be the best contract ever.” Nottingham Forest Wes was born and bred in Nottingham Wes Morgan started his senior career with his home town club Nottingham Forest in 2002 where he stayed until signing for East Midlands rivals Leicester City in 2012 Morgan worked his way to becoming a first team regular and in 2007-2008 at the age of 23, he helped Forest finish second in the league and gain promotion into the championship. Wes only missed 4 games that season and helped Forest keep 24 clean sheets. Morgan continued to graft for Nottingham and in 2011 on his 400th appearance he was rewarded with the club captaincy It was in Nottingham that he eared the nickname ‘the Major Oak’ – one of Nottingham's iconic monuments, that has stood firm and weathered the test of time. Having Wes in defence was the same as having the tree (said to be Robin Hood's hideout) blocking the path of oncoming strikers Leicester City On 30th January 2012 Wes Morgan signed for Leicester City for a rumoured fee of £1 million. Which stands as one of the greatest bargains in football history Wes said about joining Leicester “What was happening at Leicester, with the new owners and what they wanted to achieve, as soon as I heard they were interested, it was something I wanted to make happen, so that’s where it all began. It’s never easy settling into a new club, but I felt right at home. “The boys were very welcoming and I hit the ground running. It didn’t take me long to get into the team and I thought I performed well. I imposed myself on the team and the changing room. Nigel, who was the manager at the time, he saw something in me and, come the new season, he made me the captain.” Captaincy came naturally to Wes Morgan The FA Cup After the glory of winning the Premier League Leicester City continued to grow as a competitive club in England and regularly finished in the top half of the table, including back to back 5th place finishes in 2020 and 2021. It was the 2021 FA Cup final that the old Leicester magic reappeared. The foxes had never won the FA Cup having reached the final 4 times previously, and this time they faced a revitalised Chelsea who would go on to become the Champions League winners. Wes Morgan had hardly featured for Leicester throughout the season – but with the team 1-0 up he was brought on with just 8 minutes to go, a mark of respect for the former captain, who would go on to claim a winners medal and was allowed to lift the trophy with current captain Kasper Schmiechel. Morgan announced his retirement after the game – making the FA Cup win a fitting end to a glorious career The Premier League has had its share of iconic Captain’s who have carved their name into history. Bryan Robson and Roy Keane at Manchester United, John Terry at Chelsea, Alan Shearer at Newcastle, Steven Gerrard at Liverpool – Wes Morgan at Leicester deserves his place on the list of great Premier League Captains for what will echo in history as one of the greatest sporting stories of all time Don't forget to keep up with our latest news and offers by subscribing to our mailing list at the bottom of the page Get social by following us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook
